At present the Gremi has more than 300 companies associated among wholesalers and retail, figure that supposes 70% of the companies of the sector in Catalonia that manage more than 90% of the material that recovers in this autonomous community.
This situation awards to our entity a big independence and objectivity to the hour to work and take care the interests of the agremiados.


Blue bow ties receives the European Paper Recycling Award in the European Parliament

The endeavour and the commitment with the recycling of the 29 local administrations and 14 million Spanish citizens participants in the program Blue Bow ties of ASPAPEL has seen recompensado with the European Paper Recycling Award. The delivery of this prestigious biennial prize, organised by the European Paper Recycling Council, has taken place in the European Parliament in Brussels. 
In which it is his sixth edition, the jury of the prizes, has been integrated by the European members of parliament Simona Bonafè (Italy) and Inés Ayala (Spain),Ferran Rosa (Zero Waste Europe) and the environmental journalist Rudi Bressa and chaired by Lisa Kretschmann (European Federation of Envelopes Manufacturers).
The Blue Bow tie has flown to Brussels to collect the prize and spend it afterwards to the municipalities awarded. Accompanying to the Bow tie, to the ceremony of delivery have assisted some of the city councils rewarded like the city council of Fuenlabrada, with a delegation formed by the alderman of Environment, Antonio González Moulds, and the technical director of the Services of Environment, Ricardo Luis Izquierdo (in representation also of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces); the Mancomunidad of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, represented by his vice-president second and mayor of Ojén, José Antonio Gómez Sánchez, and Marco Antonio Navarro, technical director of Environment, and, representing to the city council of Coslada, his first deputy mayor and alderwoman of Urbanismo, House, Roads and Works and Environment, María of Rosario Brook. By ASPAPEL, assisted his general director, Carlos Reinoso; the president of the Committee of Recycled, Guillermo Vallés; the director of Recycled and Logistical, David Neighbourhood, and the director of the project Blue Bow ties, Andrea Orallo. 
Blue bow ties is an annual program of advice, evaluation and recognition of the quality of the municipal management in collected selective for the recycling of paper and cardboard, focused to the continuous improvement and developed and piloted by ASPAPEL.
Blue bow ties makes an evaluation in each one of the municipalities participants, based en21 indicators, that analyse all the concerning the collected of the blue container and collected complementary, the campaigns and actions of information and citizen awareness, the relative appearances to the regulation and the planning of the management and the results and trazabilidad until final recycling. Each one of the indicators values according to the scales established and the maximum punctuation that it can achieve is of 100 points.
ASPAPEL Has designed the program so that it offer an incentive of improvement through the delivery of Blue Bow ties to those municipalities or groupings of municipalities, that every year stand out for achieving tall levels of excellence, in function of an objective scale and from the results obtained in the evaluation. In function of his results, in the successive annual editions of Blue Bow ties, the city councils will maintain, will increase or will lose the bow ties obtained the anterior year.
In the edition 2017 of Blue Bow ties, twenty-nine local entities (city councils and groupings of municipalities) of twelve autonomous communities received one, two or three Blue Bow ties like recognition by the excellence of his management of the collected selective of paper and cardboard. The delivery of the Blue Bow ties 2017 took place the past month of February in Madrid, in an act chaired by Isabel García Tejerina, minister of Agriculture and Fishing, Diet and Environment, to the that assisted numerous mayors and presidents of local groupings.
To appreciate to the inhabitants of these municipalities his collaboration with the recycling and animate them to continue collaborating, because his endeavour is worth it and has resulted key to obtain this distinction, the Blue Bow tie is visiting of June to October the route of the excellence in the recycling of paper and cardboard, doing scale in the twenty-one municipalities and groupings of municipalities, that in 2017 have received two or three bow ties. Visiting the municipalities awarded pretends besides put in value the work of the local entities in the continuous improvement of the collected selective of paper and cardboard.
The Blue Bow tie initiated his flight from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fishing, Diet and Environment, where was received by the minister Isabel García Tejerina, the one who wished him “good flight and a lot of success in moving the importance of the recycled”.
Of north to south and of east  to west, in the beach, in the main square, crossing bridges, in school centres, in libraries and auditoriums… the Blue Bow tie continues spending his message of recognition and breath to the big family of the recycling.

The Govern approves the Decree on the classification, the coding and the roads of management of the waste in Catalonia

The Executive Council, in the session of 17 October, approved the Decree on the classification, the coding and the roads of management of the waste in Catalonia. The norm, under the criterion of administrative and normative simplification, establishes the roads of management of the waste that produce or manage in Catalonia and that substitute to the planned in the Decree 34/1996, of 9 January. The aim is to collect the experience achieved in the application of the Catalogue of waste of Catalonia, the back rules and the advances in the management of derivative waste of the state of the technician, at the same time that watches and preserves the fulfillment of the hierarchy of management established in the different normative. This norm determines in which conditions the operations of incineration or concineración consider operations of valorisation, prioritising the on the disposal of the rejection. Likewise, it revises the classification, the coding and the roads of management of the waste in Catalonia and determines those that have to consider like dangerous. Finally, it establishes the term of a year to develop a technical guide that will detail the operations of management admitted for each residue. With the approval of the regulatory Law of waste, in 1993, Catalonia already foresaw that the then Together of Waste had to keep up to date a code of identification of the industrial waste produced, and that had to regularizar a list the widest possible of the materials and of the substances that were object of enlargement in the valid rule. From here it was born, in 1996, the first Catalogue of waste that advanced to level of all the State. The Catalogue turn an essential piece for the sector of the management of waste, collecting the experience to European level. It foresees that the new Decree was valid to the 3 months from the following day of his publication in the Official Newspaper of the Generalitat.
